An advertising project for my 'Graphic Design 6' class. We had to design two full-page magazine advertisements for a fictional watch called "GiBo" (girl + boy) made by Timex. My target audience for this advertisement are females aged 16-19. The idea behind the imagery is that people are all different, so why not have a different watch.

Description: "This unique, versatile and affordably-priced wristwatch is geared toward a younger audience of male and female consumers ranging in age from 16 to 30, and comes with a variety of interchangeable wristbands that match any occasion or mood."

Such a sweet guy, you always agree with people on their comments rather than cutting them down with a comeback. Very Professional - Very. I think the ad is great. First, i think its better she's not wearing the watch, because the ad makes you look her and think obviously it is for people with different moods. (kinda a sarcasim in it's on way) (and i agree with you on the "she is considering wearing the watch based on her look at the logo") Second, do you use any tablet pc's; wacom tablets, anything like that? Just wondering cus i ordered one and i was wondering if they were good as people say they r.

I have never used a tablet before but I am anxious to try one out. I've heard mixed things about them but I guess it depends on what you want to do with it.

I mean no offence and you have done good work with the design... But I don't think the watch goes with the headline style and I have never seen someone gothic wear a watch of that style. The concept to me seems like skip this page. I got that you were saying that the watch is unique but I don't think that "Joe Anyone" would see it that way. Goth girl + modern styled watch too confusing. That is just my thought.
I would have done it in black. Could you have gotten a different styled watch?
sorry. maybe I am missing something.

Hey I agree, but it's hard to find a suitable stock photo of a watch that works for a product shot. Everyone wants to take pictures of watches at "crazy funky" angles or of some shiny thing they consider classy.

When this image gets updated for my portfolio it will be with a picture of my own watch (Vestal Super-Fi black/black).

Thanks for the feedback.

1) Thanks for linking me; I doubt I would have floundered back :) I'm very forgetful.
And 2) Wonderful. The first appeals to me a bit more, but this one is still fantastic. So very clean ^_^

I'm a big fan of clean design and proper use of white space. Thanks for the devWatch too.

Pretty good although I'd like to nitpick one little thing. She's not wearing the watch.

Yeah I should have Photoshopped it onto her wrist but this is due tomorrow morning and I am real lazy. I will just put in my rationale that she is considering wearing the watch based on her look at the logo.
